I know Moriwaki is released for the 500. Saw a vid and I don't really like the look or sound of it. I'm gonna spend a season getting to know the bike. Please keep me updated with how the bike is coming along?

Oh, I realize this is not an inline 4, like the 600rr. Still 2 very different bikes. This 500 is more like a grown up 250 ha ha

cbrockers, i am doing a hard break in now so cannot give a full reliable fuel economy figure but even though i rode it hard, it says an average of 5.2 to 5.6 liters per 100 km on the dash - it has an onboard computer showing average fuel economy, current fuel usage and how many liters left in the tank on the dash which is handy, i am not sure about their accuracy yet though.
I think it will go like 5 liters per 100 km for me as i ride my bikes like hell which is superb! Because, i was receiving around 4 - 4.5 liters per 100 km on my cbr250 anyway
But, it might go as low as 4 liters per 100 km maybe a little less if you ride it soft in an economy state of mind.
So, double the cc and power but only 20 percent up on fuel consumption. Thanks Honda!

I kind of figured that it would be inaccurate due to the hard break in.

I'll do the conversion to mpg too based on the figures you just posted. (for those that it matters too)

Sounds like a great option for an 'upgrade' up to now. Keep posting your findings.

Thanks!

Hi Live to Ride. Just curious, are you planning to keep your CBR250?

Lozerlaser. As far as ergonomics is concerned. How's the 500 compared to the 250? Position? Seat Height? and also...post some pictures for god's sake!!

Haven't completely made up my mind yet. Will probably sell it.

Seamy height is 30.9 in so a tad higher than 250. When I sat on it the height seemed negligible. The ergo's again, similar to the 250....may actually be a wee bit more upright.

i'd sell it, no point keeping something that looks nearly identical to the 500 with a similar riding position and less power. you won't want to go back to the 250 i don't think so i don't see the point in keeping it
