Two-Stroke Shootout: Honda NSR250R vs. Suzuki RGV250

Just happened to see this cool article from last month on Motorcycle.com...

Two-Stroke Shootout: Honda NSR250R vs. Suzuki RGV250

"... Two riders and two of the coolest bikes ever on the world’s most exclusive private testing facility – pure boy racer nirvana. Now there’s a band that comes to mind when I think back to my RGV days. I was acting like a kid three days before Christmas in the lead up to the test, anticipating that powerband rush, inhaling the luscious two-stroke fumes…" ~ Jeff Ware

A few pic's from the Motorcycle.com photo gallery...

I'd like a clean, low mileage NSR250R please... and 6 km of that nice smooth, twisty tarmac like they have at The Farm in OZ to lay down hot laps would complete the package.

Yup, that's all I want.

These bikes put my little replica racer to shame. The NSR is an awesome bike.

Something I just noticed, is that the wheels on the CBR250R are very similar in design to the NSR's wheels...

On eBay these 250cc two strokers sell from 3500 to 8500 US dollars depending on condition. They don't pop off too often though.

Rims are very similar, just a spoke less on the CBR250, NSR250 was a fantastic machine, but I prefer the 4 cylinder 250 RR four stroke

The place is about an hour and a half north of me, but I don't have a hope of ever riding it. Legend guy though, he gets done for speeding so builds his own track!

Love of fast cars - and a lost licence - drove this private world-class track

Yeah, there was a Canadian NSR250 in Washington state which sold on ebay about a week ago for something like $5300.
