Just curious what bikes everyone is looking at when/if it comes time to replace your CBR250R's. I plan on riding my CBR for another season at least before I make a move to a bigger bike but I haven't fully decided what kind of bike I want to get next. I may go up to a 600-750cc sport bike but I might also get a cruiser (and I may even keep the CBR for commuting just for the fuel economy).
Although I intend to keep the bike till she can'na give me no more, Captain, I'm certain that the SO will ask me to stop riding in the street once we get married. I'll end up becoming a "weekend warrior." Thus, my next bike will be a Daynota 675 that will see track duty and absolutely nothing else. Then one day, I'm going to scare her when she snoops into my files and sees me doing reckless things while out there, so I'll end up selling the Daynota and getting a CFR250 to take to trails. Then she'll get worried about the verts and force me to sell that CRF as well. When all is said and done, I'll end up with a Huffy.

ha ha ha. I sold my track car and bike when I got married, two kids later I decided to buy a bike and the CBR250R is it. The insurance and cost is cheap enough to justify.
Next bike? well I would love to own a NC700S but if the CBR500/400 has the same under the seat gas tank and has reasonable insurance I might get that.
no point changing bikes unless there's something significantly different about it.

Though I plan on keeping my 250 as well, I'd really like a CBR 600RR unless they release another middle weight then for the sake of insurance and comfort I'd take that.
Aside from work, I don't really need to be going anywhere that fast anyway so I'll love my 250 forever
I've been considering a 2013 ninja 650 but there aren't any dealers that aren't over 2 hours away so I may end up going after a 2012 cbr600rr this winter while the snow is still on the ground. I figure I should be able to get a great deal on it during the winter, time will tell. Would prefer the ninja for ergonomics though.
The only bike that I haven't owned, but quite fancy owning is a Harley Davidson 883 Sportster. The CBR suits me fine though. No plans to change in the foreseeable future.

A small, efficient commuter is hard to beat. If the Ninja 300 gets anything better than 60 mpg, I'm sold. CBR will go to a friend who's happy to have it.
Down the line, a Triumph Tiger 800 so I can do some adv/touring around the country.
