Default KTM 390 Duke

Apparently its official, 375cc KTM 390 coming, 45 HP, and only 330 lbs!!!

KTM 390 Duke details confirmed - to be unveiled next month! Page - 1| ZigWheels.com

That power to weight ratio is awesome if the #s are right - twice the CBR 250 and 30% better than the Ninja 300. Top speed guesses of 125 mph (thats a bit dubious but I dont go past 95 anyway). Looks amazing too. Keeping fingers crossed for US release

Spy shot:

Current Duke 200, prob a beefier version of this:

Very cool. That is an Indian website so I won't get too excited yet.

It's official(!): 2013 KTM 390 DUKE - Top Speed

I checked the aussie website and there's a link to the youtube video, so I guess that means it should be coming to Oz! If this is priced right and the Indian build quality is up to spec, then this is a serious contender for my next bike, especially with ABS.

Man that thing looks good. I am wondering whether it is worth upgrading to this, or jumping straight to the 690.

And on a slightly related note...this thing looks awesome.

Granted the price isn't beyond stupid, this will likely be my next bike.

Sub 500cc thumper with ABS and 325 lbs. Under $7000 and I'm all over this thing.

I wouldn't count on it being under $7K... 2013 KTM 350 EXC has an MSRP of $9699... nothing cheap about KTM's. Those WP inverted forks and WP rear shock are top shelf components, and command big bucks. The 390 motor looks to be based off of the 350 EXC, as well.

Dunno about that. The spec sheet, barring the motor and ABS system, looks pretty similar to the Duke 200 which is pretty cheap ($5500) here in Oz. It's got all the WP good stuff, but it's built in India while their off-road gear is built in Austria (I think). I'm guessing they'll price it half way between the Duke 200 and 690, which here will be around $8-9 grand, which considering how overpriced things are here should get it stateside for around $7k.

Who knows, it won't go on sale in Oz till March. I want one now!
