Default Suzuki files for Bankruptcy

In a challenging global economic environment, Suzuki is the first of the Japanese Big Four motorcycle manufactures to hit the financial wall. Will this be the first of many chapter 11 wipeouts or a solo event ?? Time will tell. This does not bode well for refreshed expensive supersport additions to anyone's 2013 lineup.

Luckily it's only the US distributor/arm of Suzuki going bankrupt at the moment. Hopefully this doesn't spread to other countries.

Chapter 11 doesn't mean they're going out of business. They will still be selling motorcycles and ATVs, their cars always sucked any way. Really hope they can turn things around.

Their motorcycle business is fine.

Their auto business wouldn't be struggling if they made these available for the public...

As far as the company's outlook is concerned, it's a good move, since it tells us that they're cutting fat. Not good news for employees affected, but then again, Zuk has a lackluster reputation as far as their cars are concerned here in the US. They're great in the Philippines though.

Ah, Monster Tajima and the Escudo Hill Climber...

It should also be noted that this only affects AMERICAN Suzuki. Suzuki itself is doing fine and I'm sure they're getting plenty of business in other parts of the world.
