Yeah Lewi, I would really prefer to wear a dark tint visor instead of the sunnies but tinted visors can become a bit problematic in fading daylight.
Im seriously considering going a blue iridium visor, or dark tint pinlock, as the sunnies are okay, but can be annoying especially as I wear a blue tooth headset (intercom+phone) and the speakers + sunnies can give my ears grief at times.

yeah, i bought a tinted visor because they looked cool but realised that they really do help a lot in the daylight looking into the sun. I no longer have to use my hand to block the sun or squint my eyes, it's great! I have been out a couple of times with my bike at night, around 8-9pm with it on by accident and i ride with it up because you aren't meant to be looking throught the tint at night; but even then i could still see fine and changing out the visor takes 1 minute on my helmet so i would definately recommend a tinted visor

Werd. It's like seeing the world in sepia-tone, but being able to keep your eyes wide open in piercing glare is precious.

Same here. Here in southern california I think it's critical to have one. I use mine every day. When I know i'll be riding at night I switch to my clear visor, which takes only a few seconds.
On my daily commute to work this summer I ditched the A* over pants and wore non reinforced jeans. Today, a mate who I ride with most weekends was incredibly generous and gave me a set of A* bionic knee guards. Designed for MX, I will use these whether wearing everyday jeans or for extra reinforcement with my over pants.

that's me in my gear.
Arai helmet
TourMaster jacket (not my favorite)
and Mechanics gloves
I don't wear any padded pants or anything, I probably need to.
