The only time I don't downshift when slowing down is a sudden/emergency braking scenario. Other than that you should be downshifting most of the time to keep the bike in the proper gear incase...

Just slip the clutch out to the beginning of the friction zone with the shifter down and it'll pop into first at a dead stop. No need to roll the the bike around so far for me.

My local dealer dropped Kawasaki about 2 weeks before I went in to buy a bike, otherwise, I'd have ended up on the 300 I think. In retrospect, I'm glad I ended up with the CBR.

Takes me about 1 gallon to get back and forth to work on the bike. Takes three in my car. So taking the bike saves me about 8 bucks a day which I look at as it makes me $1 an hour more. :)

I got mine a few weeks back and I really like them. Not even for vibration really, I just find the larger diameter more comfortable to ride with.
