It will run without one. But these bikes run lean from the factory and adding a slippy only make it leaner. So adding a pcV will add you some power and the bike will be happier.

How can you not be sold on it? the torque curve is higher than with any other controller. As a matter of fact I can pull the front wheel off the ground on the 1-2 shift with it.

You will gain more power a nd torque with a pcV. From my understanding the bazzaz is a fuel only controller. Is that true?

I would suggest 15w silkolene pro rsf fluid. And you don't Anodize fork tubes get them nitrade coated.
Also set fluid to 170mm from the top of the inner fork tube wile its compressed.
