Is there any chance that your insurance company will pay for a courtesy bike whilst you await payment? I had one whilst my bike was being repaired after being knocked of it by a myopic car driver.

There is no need to warm up a modern fuel injected engine before riding, as long as you take it easy. Just wait until it's warmed up properly before you thrash it, and you won't have any problems. ;)

Put the bike on it's side stand with the handlebars fully turned to the left. You can now look up from behind the front wheel, and you'll be able to see how much is left on the pads. ;)

Is the chain adjusted correctly? I'm just hoping that it's not too tight. If It's way over tight, I could imagine it causing the symptoms that the OP describes, as well as doing a whole lot of damage...

I don't filter at any more than around 25 mph. I'll pull back into lane once I'm going at that speed. Saying that, my reactions aren't as fast as they used to be, and our lanes are pretty narrow over...

There's a hell of a lot of them over here....

There's a hell of a lot of them over here. They're very popular with bikers that use them for transport or courier work. Always a good sign. You can pick up a decent 700 for around 3000 upwards....

I have no plans to get rid of my CBR250R, but when I finally do, I think I'll be trading it in for a good second hand Honda NT700V Deauville. Very well made, bulletproof and very practical. ;)
