I cruise around 5,000-6,000. This seems a good range and ties in nicely with our speed limits:

3rd@5,000 = 50kph
4th@5,000 = 60
5th@5,000 = 70

And so on. Of course, getting to cruising...

I'm with Rusty 100%. I've had the bike a little over a year (end of Feb/early March for me). Just a few extra ponies at the rear would make this bike much more forgiving on my LHS extremities...
