used to live in north Georgia mountains years ago, 5 of those years I didn't own a car...rode a CB250 Nighthawk 20 miles to work and back, rain,snow, whatever...
The snow rule is..if it goes crunch, continue driving like you are on eggshells..
if it doesn't crunch, it's frozen, and big trouble.
shadow sides of the mountain hold black ice better, and then the gravel trucks are putting millions of marbles down for you..
other than that, layer up on leather..I wear at least four layers in the cold..
and the old biker's tale...don't laugh...I swear it works..
