Mod 6 - Clear bra on the fuel tank

To me, most protective tank pads destroy the colors or lines of the motorcycle visually.

I didn't want a black one to pull my eyes away from the "carbon" Honda wings. I also didn't care for a clear one either because it sticks up high like a zit.

Instead, I had a friend custom cut a 3-piece 3M clear bra for my fuel tank. He first applied it over the Honda wings but he didn't like it because the film didn't look flat enough. He painstakingly cut around the Honda wings for me.

He is great at what he does so if any of you around the Houston area are interested, PM me.

More to come soon. Stay safe and rubber side down!!

Mod 7 - rear seat cowl from SAC

I got the rear seat cowl and passenger grab bar plugs from Steve (forum member SAC). His communication was almost daily and very professional.

Once I received the goods, I was not 100% happy about the fit and overall look. I wanted something cleaner. That was when I decided to pull out the big guns and get some help from my body shop friends.

I ordered some side fairings and trim pieces and told them about what I had in my crazy head. Since they were going to spray these pieces anyways, I had them spray the Zerogravity double bubble windshield as well. I will post pics of that install soon.

Cheers!!

It really, really looks great. I particularly like the turn signals... even though I would have preferred them to be added to the original ones, for extra visiblity

Now, orange lower fairing?

Thanks northerlights.

To me, the stock rear turn signals stuck out so much once the Yoshi FE kit was installed. To each their own.

I considered painting the lower fairing orange as well but was afraid the entire bike woulb be too orange. I might consider putting a few stickers on the lower fairing like that of the CBR600RR and think the black background would be best.

Thanks MisterNo. No, do not have any pics of the ZG DB installed yet.

If you search the forum, you will find out that replacing the windscreen is a total PITA. Almost the entire front of the bike has to be removed.

When I have 3-4 hours of spare time, I will knock this out along with replacing the bulb to a HID. I will post pics once these two are done.
