Smile norwegian CBR250R rider

Hi
I just bought a 2011 CBR 250 R with about 14600 km (/9000 miles). It seems to be in excellent condition.
The only issue that I'm aware of is a bulge in the tank, maybe approximately 10 cm * 4 cm.
I will consider if I could find some fix to the problem.
Hope to find some interestingreading here, and also to be able to contribute in some way..

Welcome.

Never having had a tank bulge (depressions yes, but no extrusions), I am afraid that I'm useless.

Thank you!

I suspect that depressions can be more useful in the long run than bulkes in gas tanks.
Buying another gas tank may be to expensive for my taste. I may fix the bulge by having a professional fix it, but suspect that I'll go for an even cheaper option.
That could be buying some tank cover, that would also hiode the bulge. One example is here: https://japan.webike.net/products/21226952.html .
I have seen others, made from plastic, in multiple colors. Unfortunately I haven't been able to dig up the webpage(s) later..
Have a nice day.

I can maybe take one later. According to the information I got, some previous owner dropped something on the tank, leaving the dent. I found this item https://japan.webike.net/products/21226952.html which might provide a cheap option for covering the damage.
Still, I'm looking for alternatives.. Think I saw some plastic tank covers, but haven't able to find the actual webpage later.

I have seen some that cover most of the tank, and were multi-colored, but unfortunately didn't store the webpage, and have not been able to find it again.

You could get a Bagster brand tank cover in whatever color scheme your bike has.

You could order a new tank. I know here in the US they are quite inexpensive.

Or you could look for a good one from the breakers. There are many on Ebay, often priced higher than a new one from Honda.
