Tak noise from CBR250R

Hello Everyone my name is Vivan Ranjan !!
I am new to this forum , and thank the admin’s to keep the forum running.
I happened to get in here as i was googling for my problem and luckily I found this forum n without second thought I resisted..

The problem is there is loud tak sound when i de-accelerate. Lets say i am on 1st gear i rev the engine till 5k rpm and let go of the throttle the tak noise is audible. So to check where the noise is coming from, i removed the chain and put the bike in 1st gear and rotate the front sprocket with my hand back and forth there is a free play and the tak tak noise comes when rotating back n forth. This is the same noise that comes when de acceleration.

Can you guys please help me out of this. I am really annoyed by this issue. The bike is driven around 7k . I dont even use is roughly.

Please please help me solve this problem. Thanks in advance. 🙏🏻

I'm thinking it may have something to do with the clutch basket.

If not, I would expect it's a transmission issue.

If you pull the clutch in (or strap it to the bar), what does the countershaft feel like when you turn it back and forth?

I have not checked that. But when the vehicle is in gear and and by rotating the front sprocket by hand this noise comes at the end of free play on both ends. It feels like something has expanded and made room for the free play. Is it something to do with the shim ? But there is not continuous noise when the engine is running. 🤔🤔

I just now checked by pulling the lever and rotated the sprocket , the noise significantly reduces but the sound is still there. As you said earlier it might be the clutch basket. But not sure. How be sure before taking things apart ?

Not sure how you'd confirm the clutch issue before pulling it apart.

Maybe a specific search on "CBR 250R clutch issues" might pull up something useful.

See if you can find the clutch section of the factory service manual to see if there is any useful info there before starting disassembly.

That's all I can think of...
