Question Running Lights alteration?

I'm thinking of turning the running lights into turn signals - has this been done or am i in the wilderness?

Part of my ongoing plan to remove as much plastic as I can...

Garage
I don't know of anyone else doing that but it doesn't sound that hard. The only problem I can see is legality. When I wanted to put LED strips in the fairing to use as turn signals I was told that you cant have signals that are integrated like that by multiple shops.

You can always try though and try to get an inspection from a smaller shop.

fortunately we don't have inspection protocols like that, but yeah: the question whether they'd even be visible around the headlight glare came to mind.

The integrated mirrors may be my best bet given what I want to do, but they all appear to be substantially shorter than stock.
