Shipping Forks/New Race Tech Rear Shock

Pulling the trigger on sending my forks to Race Tech in Cali from Texas. Any issues or special considerations for shipping? ( drain oil etc.) I planned on sending them in a plastic gun case. Any experiences or recommendations would be appreciated.

Also, I am getting the G3-S shock. I have seen where some were concerned with adjustment access on the ABS models, But was not able to find anything on a non-ABS install. Again any experiences or recommendations on Customizing this shock would also be greatly appreciated.

Yes I know that this is an expensive mod but what the hell.

I'd just wrap each fork separately in a decent amount of bubble wrap, and then pack them into a double wall cardboard carton... I'm just thinking that Race Tech isn't going to want to keep track of your gun case for return shipment.
