I imagine that boring and re-plating one of these cylinders could be done, but at what price would be the question. Lots of engine machine shops have boring bars, but few would have the ability to re-plate.
As an alternative to replacing a damaged plated cylinder with a new one, a common practice is to bore the cylinder and then fit a steel sleeve (if one is available for that particular engine), which could then be subsequently bored to an over sized piston.
