Do you think that headlight will pass with the Michigan authorities?

Still not totally done with the headlight mount, but you kinda get the idea. Hoping to paint the bracket black and clean up all the wiring by this weekend.

you've really captured the spirit of the old time streetfighters. take a sportbike and rip off the plastic, then throw whatever headlight you can make fit at it. the fact that you did it with a CBR250R throws a quirky angle at it. i really like it.

it has a very nice unresloved look where the bodywork has been removed and the headlight is tidy and appropriate.

imho some lower clip-ons and a little tidying up (but not too much) would really make it work.

looks great, keep at it!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm happy with how it's coming along so far. I'm just ready for the weather to break and start riding everyday! I'll take some decent photos once I get my mirrors and blinkers installed.

The front blinkers are mounted and wired. I've currently got one bar end mirror mounted, but am waiting for a new set to arrive in a few days. I did ride to work today and everything seemed to check out. Pretty happy with this little bike so far.

Currently I'm up to about $70 total for anyone interested.

LED bar headlight $13
Headlight harness $12
Fuses and headlight HW $11
2x 2 ohm 50w resistors $7
Headlight bracket $10
Blinkers $8
Mirrors $8

Yeah. I kept all the plastics in case I ever sell the bike.

Hey mate, nice work! Is that the final result or you want to do more mods?

One question, are the regulations very strong where you live? Here in Spain the government "hates" mods. For example, that Yoshi isn't street legal and they punish you strongly if your bike parts aren't U.E. approved... I'd like to change some parts like the exhaust pipe but only few exhausts are street legal, and well, they are the most expensives.

Anyway, good luck in your project!
