My friend with f800st also did 140000km
Only the known alternator problem showed up.

I hope you will be able to ride much more than 140.000 km, but in the past there were some problems with the 800 Rotax engines, some failed after about 3.000 km and were then replaced under warrenty by new ones, others died after about 70.000 km, thatís what I read on forums, maybe itís not a problem generally, maybe something like the stunning or overfoldding problem with our CBR250R, some people experienced it, many, including me, fortunately not, not under the so often described circumstances. But please donít forget updating us how your or now your girl friends CBR250R runs, thanks in advance!

"stunning or overfoldding" problem with the CBR250R?

Can you elaborate, as I have no idea what those terms even mean...

I mean ďstallingĒ / ďfloodingĒ of course, as you know some riders have the problem that the engine unwanted turns off while riding. Here is a link about that problem, which you know about:

Some have a theory that under special conditions too much fuel is injected, that canít be burned, which leads to a flooding with fuel and the engine turns off.

yesterday at 77000 km the alternator winding burnt out .
installed used winding from another cbr250

Wow I actually sat here for an hour reading this whole thread. Why? I just got off a long day at the office. My father and I always debated on what works and what should be done or not. One time he told me that there is always tried and true methods but they aren't the only methods. Wish I learned more from him when he was still alive. As my father was a math whiz but never got the always correct answer the "proper" way. Great job on the rebuild and may it last even longer

I've got 70k km on my bike, and haven't had any of the same issues.

So far I've had to change the clutch plate, and the stator, front disk rotor.

Think that's it besides the service stuff and chain and tyres.
