Had them tied in a sack bungee cables to the passenger seat and it slowely came loose.

if things cant be strapped securely [yet]
consider various backpacks, tank/tailbags
small over tail or rear racks also secure
[mounting bags or strapping etc]

some large things can be carried in the lap..
even down front of jacket can be handy..

[carried a full navy kitbag over tank/on lap
riding cb72 250, sydney to melbourne..
necessity as they say, mother of invention]

i drained battery to absolute zero. yuasa batterty. Then brought it to a charger charged to full working without issues so far.
