Have you checked that all of the engine mounts are tight? The usual thing to do is to loosen and re-tighten to torque specs the engine mounts, one at a time.

No I haven't checked them specifically. I did have some work done on it fairly recently so I'd be surprised if that were the case. You never know though... maybe something worth investigating.

depends what you mean by 'vibrates like crazy'..
as our engine design produces good smooth harmonics for a single
[see link, scroll to 'engine performance']
designing includes tuning for less vibration at preferred rpm/speeds..
thus target revs would be for 6krpm rather than redline..
even riding position including relative tension of muscles will result in
different levels of vibration entering sensory nerves thus brain..
even gripping bars tightly, thus wrists/elbows/shoulders tightened
will cause sensitivity to vibrations compared to relaxed control..

check tyre pressures, chain tension, rear wheel alignment, jsonders
engine bolts, any other loose fasteners.. have another motorcyclist
test ride it for comparison, otherwise take it to a honda tech..

Yes pretty much meaningless in the sense of being relative to the rider. Never felt like I was going to damage anything and never stopped me from bouncing off the limiter. FWIW I don't notice at highway speeds just slower. Mostly I was just commenting that I could understand why someone would be nervous about revving so high.

My Kawasaki z125 is much smoother by comparison but admittedly I have not tried the Grom.

There are also resonance harmonics to consider.

Usually, it is an add-on item that does this, but, if any of the fairings or such is not tight, you may get the problem from the original bike.

Yes definitely resonances at specific rpms.

My first car had a heat shield that was a wee loose and would vibrate and specific rpms.

Ideally I'll be able to get a semi functional garage space to be able to do some more wrenching.

meaning, or meaningless, depend on subject, object and observer..
original two members concerns on vibration may cover a wide
range of possibilities.. sense of stability incl movement or vibration
include anything potentially influencing center of gravity
of rider and motorcycle..
sometimes motogp techs change or eliminate vibration
by adjusting the seat,, thus moving rider mass forward
slightly over front end..
some road riders keep arms straight with muscular tension,
forcing their c of g rearward, thus influencing other body parts
and positioning.. which may seem meaningless at first sight..

Yeah 6th, but to keep up with traffic on a 130km/h road, I'd be going about 140-150 indicated speed

I don't want to be the person to provide you with bad news but I think it's time to upgrade. Something with good power. Something like the NC750x, Versys 650, F800GS or anything in the group of bikes or go big and get a 600rr hahah

I usually do 125km/h indicated. With that I still have some reserve power for overtaking a vehicle that is just that bit slower than me. There is nothing more embarrassing than trying to overtake a car at full throttle and then hit a slight incline and not having enough power to finish the overtaking.
Happened to me once therefore I'm now keeping some reserve power.
