Engine break-in - necessary?

Here's an interesting article about engine break-in where they actually tested two completely different break-in theories and their affect on internal engine wear. Used a CB300F even.

Another thank you for the link. It did not dissuade me from emphasizing lots of engine braking during the first 200 miles.

Ari's last video for Motorcyclist Magazine. he and Zack are moving to Motortrend. Too bad they didn't go ahead and dyno both engines when they got done. I believe that the hard break in engine would have slightly more high rpm power.
