doktor The spring that I retired from the Army, I went east to Massachusetts from Kansas, on the way back to Kansas, I stopped in a truckstop in a little town in Ohio. This guy pulled up next to me on an Ultra-Classic Harley. I decided to ask about his trip because he had California tags. He put his kickstand down, swung his leg over and started to take his helmet, his face kind of sagged out a little bit slower than you would expect. The guy was soloing from LA California, to coastal Maine, and back.
Why would that be unusual, you might ask? The guy was 95 years old going solo back and forth across the United States.
That man had earned my respect, and admiration, but the point of all that is to say you are only old as you act, yes, he had a lot of years riding, heck, he'd seen the first Harley's roll off the line, and no, he wasn't an old 1%'er, just a guy the understood the draw of 2 wheels.

Hi all,

I'm a Sydneysider just learning to ride in my mid 30s.
I've got a legend of a step brother who's offered me a 1989 CBR250R (MC19), which was sitting in the back of his garage... if we can get it working again.

Things are going well so far, so I'm off to get my licence in a few weeks, but given I such a noob, I expect to have a few questions for you guys over the next few months.
