Spotted another derivative, using the CBR300 engine….

Not my thing, but each to their own.

Wow, that's one ugly cruiser....o_O

It's at least loads better than the old Rebel. They went more of the bobber route with it; a minimalist approach. I'm indifferent either way because it's not my style, but it does have more footroom than the old Rebel. That thing felt like a tinkertoy with my 6' frame.

Looks too home built to attract my money, but mabe that's what Honda think people want?
The biggest problem with it to me is that it's a single. Cruisers are all about relaxed low rev riding which, is at odds with a motor that can't be used comfortably below 4000rpm in top.

Our little singles are torquey. Their powerband is quite friendly down low and midrange, but is happy to be revved as well. I don't see a problem with it; but I'm also not in the crowd that insists anything without a V-twin isn't a cruiser. I've ridden my friend's Vstar 250, and our little singles are just as torquey. They just rev higher and faster.

Hey, I'm 6' and I started out on a 1980 Yamaha 250 "Exciter" cruiser-style bike and loved it.
This bike may be butt ugly, but it will be someone's first ride and you can bet they'll never forget it.

If I could get an ABS model cheap enough I would rock it. Anything to get me back on 2 wheels at this point.

Is it me, or is this whole retro "hipster doofus" thing going a little too far?

Do you remember what our parents said about us when we were young?

Let it be, already.
