4 wheelers (cars)

I know some other threads have been over some of this, but just wanted to add this observation about other drivers. I have about 900 miles on my new CBR and have had two close calls with people pulling into my lane. The last one was too close for comfort, the lady was completely surprised when I hit the horn while moving into the middle turning lane and missed bumping her fender by less than a foot going about 50mph.

I always try to stay out of drivers' blind spot but in that case I was passing her and she just didn't know I existed, either coming up from behind her or during passing. Of course hardly anyone does the head turn to double check the mirrors, I always do whether on the bike or in a car. And you always get the strangest looks from the surprised driver when you finally wake them up, either with the horn or the sound of wreckage.

Any comments on these issues will be read and appreciated.

HID projector. Highbeams always on daytime. No one's pulled out since.
