Well the crazy thing is that if he wouldn't have reacted how he did, he wouldn't have laid the bike down. He could've just kept going straight on.
But still, I probably would've had the same reaction. Good to see that he was okay in the end.

Also, those dudes look sharp. But I wouldn't want to ride in my dress shoes...

I view this as another example of why I believe that group rides are dangerous. Things often settle into a follow the leader mentality, even if there is no testosterone contest on the speed through curves or with clear line-of-sight straights.

Someone hadn't been practicing emergency hard breaking.

Best move if a deer jumps right in front of you would be to get in a deep tuck and let the bike take the hit.
