I did a couple of trips in the same area in the mid '90s on a CB250RS, including some of the same roads, albeit better surfaced now. No aeroplane involved then. Just jumped on my bike where I was living in Bedfordshire and on to the Channel ferry a couple of hours later.
It is easy to travel through Europe now. There are no immigration checks between countries, thanks to the Schengen Agreement.
Sorry, no photos, or other records. Just memories.
