I changed the vinyl on my seat.I took the original covers apart and made patterns. The colors are not my first choice but I had it laying around and wanted to see how good my patterns worked out.Am going to go red/grey/black soon.

I can stitch up a cover for you no problem. If you have access to an air staple gun,you should have no problem swapping the covers. Is the bike near Port Charlotte?I could do the cover and install for around $50 for the rear seat.
Redhawk, you do good work your seats look awesome! I'm a heavier guy and like some have mentioned the stock seat gets very uncomfortable after riding for more than a couple of hours. I'm in the market to upgrade my seats, keep us posted on the different colors/designs you come up with.... Thanks.
thanks!I havent tried changing the seat contour with different foam yet.I plan to try a few different firmness levels of foam soon.
I am working on putting flames in my seat next, soon as I have time.Got my patterns ready, hope to have it done by next weekend.I will upload pics when its finished.
Wow, can't believe that we have the same idea, looks the same, even the material surface

This is mine:

No kidding!Looks good! What you do with the rear seat?
I use sponge to increase its height to make it look more like solo seat when there is no passenger, and it's very soft and comfortable when there is a passenger because it's not too sloping.
Nice!I'm gonna borrow that idea for mine!Working on a flame pattern now,trying for a 3 color,black w/2 color flame.Havent done that before,should be interesting.
I just redid my seat with some 2.3lbs density, 50lbs ILD foam and it feels great, just need a new seat cover with some extra room for the new foam. Let me know if you are selling any of the older prototypes.
RedHawk , you should sell seat covers for the CBR250R on ebay. I know I would buy one. You could make some easy money doing that. Your work looks top notch too.

Non the less , if you ever do start making them for sell, lets me know I would buy one

I would like one in just black with double blue stitching and a strap on the back seat to hold my baseball cap lol. I don't have a air gun staple, but I have a heavy duty staple gun , do you think that would work on the seats. I recovered my kitchen seats using it.

If I could do the stitching I would try it on my own but I know my limits and cant stitch to save my life.
jolly, was your bike a tri color bike at one point?
heavy duty hand staler might do it.The seat pan on these bikes are made of pretty soft plastic.
I am going to make up some different color combo'as soon as I get more vinyl.A red/white/blue cover sounds good,Once I get a few done,I may put them up on ebay.I'll make you a cover, see haw it goes installing it.

Cool, thank you. Let me know how much and ill pay you for it
Man, im half tempted to buy a spare seat combo and have you do it in a black with blue accents, your work is def top notch
I got a link to a site w/cheap factory parts, seats $33 for each piece I think.Thought of buying a few myself and putting them up for sale.I can look up the site if you want.
That looks really good! I was tempted to get my seat recovered in hot pink, but just had it shaved and put on the original material. With an OEM seat coming in at $33, I might get another one and do it anyway!

Good work!
I'm going to look for some vinyl in different colors.Havent tested my pattern fpr a 3 colr seat yet.I did try doing flames on my seat, not so good.Need to spend more time at the sewing machine!!!I think Joann fabrics has some pink vinyl, going there tomorrow,I'll check.
tarbinator, did you put the cover back on yourself?

No, mine originally was red. I painted the side white and vinyl wrapped the bottom to make it red/white. :p
I'm getting some red/white/blue vinyl for covers for the tri-colored bike.I would like some idea's on what patterns to put on them.Do I put the colors as stripes,as in the pics of my 2 tone seat?Any idea's appreciated.I will try to draw up an outline of the seat w/different setup's drawn out.
I am also looking for some silver vinyl for the red/silver bikes.
If you ever do a black seat with red double stitch, I want :) I like the idea of a strap on the back seat to hold a cap or something too.

Where did you find the seats for $33?
