I just talked to my dealer. They sold eight CBR250Rs this year which is all that they had. They tried to order two more but Honda told them there aren't any available. The next closest Powerhouse dealer still has seven more in stock. It may be that only the Powerhouse dealers will be able to get more or that they may even run out. If you think that you want a CBR250R this year you won't want to haggle over the $300 profit fee they are adding to the sticker price. Especially if it your local dealer that you should want to support.

Couple weeks ago I was in Ohio and saw 4 new 250s in the showroom, 2 reds, one black and one tricolor. At least one of them was a 2011 (at least thats what the sticker siad). On another note I was in a dealership back home in Maryland and they sold their red/silver right as I walked in and as I was checking out the FZ6Rs, someone claimed their tricolor. 2 sold in under an hour.

I was just in my local dealer wed to get a filter for my wifes bike and they still had the abs tri color that was there 2 months ago when I bought mine and the red one they got in right after we bought my wifes. They also have a nice red vfr 1200 manual tranny sitting there marked down to $12,900. MMMmmmm.... I'd like to have that one. Their gorgeous tri color anniversary edition cbr 1000 and the red/white cbr 600 are both still sitting there too sadly. They must not sell hardly any bikes at all because it's always the same exact bikes every time I go. Granted it's a real small shop anyway but still.

My dealer said they couldn't keep them in stock, they've sold more 250R's this year than any other model. When I came to pick mine up, they had 1 tri-color, 2 blacks, and a vacant spot in the middle which I assume used to be where mine was parked. He said they have 2012's in crates, but mine was one of the last 2011's in stock.

I hope Honda planned more accordingly for the popularity of this bike. I'd hate to see them raise the price again in 2013 because of demand. (That's why I chose the 2011 over a 2012, because they already raised the MSRP once!)

I haven't heard of a shortage here. Last week I visited my dealer and picked up a new helmet and they had six on the showroom floor, I never checked the year of the bikes. Prices are the same as 2011. I have never seen another one of our CBRs on the road.

If you listen to "them" you never will, it's not powerful enough for the road.

Oh, they're big sellers here, I'm surprised I've never seen one. We have a lot of private rider training schools here, I wouldn't be surprised if they're using them, I can't think of a better bike. "They" would never see them, they're too busy trying to stay upright.;)

The dealer I got mine from (a powerhouse dealer about 100 miles away from my town) still has some 2011's and 2012's in stock (both abs and non-abs of all colors) and they're still selling them for $300 under sticker price and no BS fees. I'm guessing that they're either not selling that well here in the deep south where "if it ain't a 600cc or higher (750cc for cruisers) it ain't a real bike" or they simply have access to as many as they want.

Here in Ohio they must not be too popular as I've yet to see another one on the road. Almost every dealership I called had last year's model still on the floor, of course that was back in April when bike sales are slow.

Mississippi seams to be the worst market for the CBR250R. That and Louisiana are the only two places I have read about people actually paying less than sticker.

My dealer had a 2012 tricolor with ABS on the floor for $4499, plus tax and license. $100 under MSRP is as good as I've heard of on the current models.

Stopped in to Ron's Honda looking for my title and plate, temp plate was almost expired, no cbr 250s on the floor, the hot floor person (stacy) wanted to know if I was ready to trade up, (6 weeks of ownership) she said she would buy mine since the only had a black model left, 4 cbr s in 6 weeks in a town of 4000 folks, with a HD, Yamaha, Suziki and victory dealership in the area... And as the last post said, I also don't see any on the road!!!!!!!
