600 mile check up/Valve check

My dealer told me they charge $130 an hour for labor and that the 600 mile valve check would take about an hour and a half. That sounds like a HUGE ripoff to me... Anyone else get a different story? I figure the time of labor sounds right, but damnnnnn $130 per hour? Are they Ferarri technicians???

Has anyone heard a different mileage for their first "check up"?

call another dealer,you can get serviced by any honda authorized dealer.

mine told me it would be 210 for the service.though he thought he didnt have to do the valve adjustment yet,but ima make sure he knows and keeps the price the same lol

Mine said around $200.00 for the 600 mile service, which includes the valve check/adjustment.

Mine also... $200... Make sure they have an oil filter!

Wow! That doesn't sound so bad compared to what I was told! They told me it was gonna be $1000 for the very first service after 1000 km. And then every other service would be just the usual maintenance.

That's what I said! And they told me "it's the initial final check of all nuts, bolts, screws, chain, fluids, etc..."! To which I made a coment askin if they were doin an overhaul cus it sounded like that's what they were doin! But whatever it is they HAVE to do, the price doesn't sound right at all!

ive called every local dealer and they all want 300-360. the cheapest ive found was 230$ with valve check,and also the have a filter in stock!

Yes - that doesn't sound right. In effect, they are asking for 1/4 of the initial purchase price of the CBR250R for a checkup?!?!?
