Hey everyone, I'm a fairly new rider and equally new to these forums. That said, I have owned my CBR250R for almost 1 year and 5 months at this point, and had been perusing the forums for just as long. Most of the time it was without an account but after a month or so I thought I would be a little stalker and make an account so I could see photos that members posted (mostly for maintenance photos etc). Thus, I chose a ridiculous name since I thought I would never bother posting. But yes, here I am writing an introductory post before I want to share some videos in the near future. You can call me CBRfury, or fury, or whatever you wish since I realize the name is quite goofy and can't be bothered to come up with a better one. I've enjoyed reading many threads and posts in the past and I'm sure I will continue to do so.
A little more about myself: I am from east-central Pennsylvania, US, and own a black 2013 CBR250R. I'm in college so my budget is tight, which is what made a brand new CBR worth it for what you get and the price you pay. A ratio of joyriding compared to practical purpose riding I engage in would probably be 5:1
I enjoy cruising on the CBR as it seems to be made for that, but I also love to put the bike through its paces be using up the gears and testing my tires on some twisties. That's about all I can think up at the moment, and since nobody likes a pure-text post I'll put some eyecandy in here.
There are no major mods done on the bike, just aesthetics. A few stickers (including an MSF sticker on that perfectly shaped triangle under the license plate (yes I did take the beginner MSF course)), rim tape, painted stock windscreen, and blue LEDs. Understandably these make it go faster, and unfortunately the LEDs not only add much needed visibility for my bike at night, but also encourage every ricer to challenge me to a street race. I'll be laughing when they pull off and subsequently get stopped by a cop. As I said I've owned the bike for 1 year and 5 months and it still hasn't gotten old to me. Every single time I park the bike I turn around to look at it and it has plenty enough power to do everything I want it to. I'd like to get a bigger bike in the future but I'll always hang onto this one. For the role it's built (commuter, beginner friendly, comfortable sporty short-tourer) I can't think of anything that is better.
If anyone sees me out on the road be sure to let me know, and wave!
