I had planned on purchasing a 2012 CBR 250 this weekend. Ive been talking with a dealership out of town. They had the color I wanted and the bike at a good price. I expected some additional fees ontop of the price of the bike. I was suprised to find the additional dealer markup (ADM) was $1400. I want to pay cash for the bike so Im going to need to hold off a few weeks.
Is that amount of ADM common on a new bike priced under $4000?

my dealer also wanted to charge freight and prep; i bought mine in march of 2012 in san diego but stuck to my guns and got it for msrp plus tax and title with only $500 in hand.
