Always wanted to visit NM.
I believe there are a few NM CBR250R owners here... yeah setting up a ride up through the Jemez Mountains would be very cool. I did it a couple times last year, riding from Santa Fe through Los Alamos, and on to Jemez Springs for lunch. It's definitely a great motorcycle road. In fact I've talked to a few riders along the way who have done it as a big one day loop ride starting from Abq and going up through the Jemez from the south to Los Alamos, on to Santa Fe, and then back to Abq via the Turquoise Trail. Another good day ride would be going up to Taos, Angel Fire, and Red River, NM... I haven't done that one yet, but it's on the list.how many NM riders do we have on here? maybe we could orginize a nice ride up through there or jemez.
Northern New Mexico is a great destination for motorcycling... some very scenic back roads out here. If you get the chance to do it, I would recommend allowing for some time to head up into Southwestern Colorado as well... the Durango, Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride areas are spectacular for motorcycling, both On & Off Road. I use to live just outside of Telluride, and I'm hoping to take a few days and get up in that area again this summer for some Off Road riding.Always wanted to visit NM.
I know right, it's been so nice in abq and count me in for a ride iv been wanting to do a group ride for a while.^^ all these areas are great for any type of vehicle, but i bet riding through it would be simply amazing. when i used to go to subaru meets, we used to always ride up through jemez or santafe or the peak. amazing drives as well. We should make a thread for a ride this summer! its been so great out in my area (rio rancho/abq)
