Anyone else completely debadge?

I only took the Honda sticker above the headlight off. Only because it looked out of place.
Matter of fact I added Interceptor stickers.
How are you going to remove the Honda name off the engine cases?

That doesn't bother me, just the big ones everywhere do. I would rather see a bike when I look at it, not graffiti... just personal preference. I just wondered if anyone else has a layer of clear coat over top of the honda sticker on the gas tank.

Theyre all clear coated over.

How are you able to take the "CBR 250" off the sides?

I don't like the idea of announcing to the whole world that it's a 250.

I'm not really a huge fan of the 'cbr250r' badge, but i doubt i'll go as far as to remove it. The Honda wing logo i actually do like, just a personal thing i guess. But i agree with your sentiment of not wanting to be a walking advertisement all the time!

The stickers are very subtle. Everyone who looks at it never even notices the 250 stickers and are shocked when I tell them its a 250.
I have no problem announcing its a 250. If I wanted a bigger motor I wouldve bought a bigger bike.
Besides the little rear tire pretty much announces to anyone who knows bikes that its a small displacement bike.
Taking off the stickers and screwing up the finish will end up hurting your resale value if you decide to sell it.

That is very true. But I bet at least 95% of people on the street don't know bikes, or simply fail to notice the difference. My CBR125R has remarkably skinny front and rear tires. Much narrower than the CBR250Rs tires. But almost everyone thinks it's a 600cc supersport. Ha..ha... The fun part is actually correcting them - to see the surprised and puzzled look on their faces afterwards. I would expect the same reaction with the CBR250R.

There's no way I'd do that either. I like the look of the badges, and as said, taking off might affect resale. But it's your bike, and only your opinion that matters when it comes to looks. I'd say the same thing to that girl who changed her Mustang to bright yellow and purple around here.

Heat it with a hairdryer, peel it off, goo gone for the left over residue, wash the paint, rewax. But apparently the wing emblems on the gas tank aren't that simple.

I could care less about resale value on a $4k bike, if I ever sell the thing anyways. But there are alot of people who appreciate a cleaner look and aren't going to pay less because the stickers are gone, lol.

And for clarification I'm not removing stickers because I don't want people to know what the displacement is, because I don't care even in the slightest what people think, it is all personal preference, as stated above.

Are the stickers cleared over? the cbr250r and the wings? I was thinkin about removing em and replacing em with red stickers off the 600rr. Obviously I wouldnt add the 600rr but the CBR Racing sticker looks sick! and with the large HONDA sticker at the bottom would set it off

Just the wings on the tank are clear coated.

I usually debadge cars & motorcycles. I paid for it ,im not going to forget what i bought. They dont pay me to advertise. But I just took of the little honda stickers. The rest actualy look good.

Here a crazy advertisng story. You know the Monster logo. Sure everyone does. A guy at work had it tattooed on the top of his hand. Looks just like the can. Now try and pull that sticker off. Im not knocking tattoos as I have alot, but free advertising for life, for free. crazy

Yep! No heat! My wife won't let me borrow her hair dryer. Hahaha!

Left side CBR250R sticker - I started peeling from the "R" end of the sticker. Needed lots of fingernails and Goo Gone. Took maybe 10~15mins.

Right Side - This time I started from the "C" end of the sticker. Needed the fingernail to start the peel. Then I just had to literally pull the sticker off! Almost no Goo Gone needed. 5 mins to get it off and cleaned.

Front Honda - It had a clear sticker on top of the Honda which was the easy to peel off but the honda sticker underneath was one tough cookie! Had to use my fingernails millimeter by millimeter. Took me maybe 20mins or so.

Can you take a pic showing the whole bike? This doesn't show how the overall look changes after debadging.

I think there's a coat of clear on top of the stickers. Looks like you'll have to get your tank re-sprayed.

On my 2011 when I peeled off the gas tank warning stickers and Honda sticker above the headlight I didnt use heat, just peeled and used Goo Gone. The Goo Gone dulled the paint.
Just did it on my 2012 and used a hair dryer and WD40. Didnt mess up the paint at all. WD40 took off the residue from the tank stickers better then the Goo Gone without dulling the paint. The Honda sticker didnt leave any residue. Took about a minute for all 4 stickers.
