I've had accident repair parts on back order for months so i've been riding a bike that runs fine but cosmetically marred. I don't blame the dealership as they have to order the parts from overseas but I ended up getting into a second accident on the side where the damage was. Everything that was going to be replaced on the outside would have been taken care of through the first insurance claim, however i may have broken an extra tab underneath which would have been taken care of when all the parts were going to be swapped but now will be an insurance nightmare because the unseen damage could be caused by the second fall.

They said, the main Honda factory, is low on stators ?
Thats kind of hard to believe. I'd think that if there were a lot of stator failures, it would be a big topic of conversation here on the website. And even with Honda in production for 2013 CBR models, they wouldn't be using the stock reserved as replacement parts. As sac said, American Honda likely has them in-route, on a slow boat from Thailand. Your bike is "Down, Due To Warranted Part Failure"... your dealer should be on the phone to the parts department at American Honda, to get that replacement stator air shipped in, and get your bike back on the road again. I'd talk to the General Manager at the dealership. His job is to make it happen.
