I just took a drive with the girlfriend up to Monterey to do some hiking and camping and oh my gawd is it beautiful. I'll post some pictures when I download all of her photos (better camera, more photographically inclined). But the road. Hwy 1 through the coast is unreal. Twisties for days and up above a unreal teal blue ocean with flower filled mountains directly on the other side. I swear to you. Its un-fuarking-real... so my question is:

Does anyone in the area (or not in the area) want to ride through Hwy 1 with me? I will probably spend the night up around there but if anyone is close (or down to spend a few bills on a motel 6 room) I would be so down. Its literally the coolest, most beautiful, second most packed (in relation to Mulholland which is a zoo) with motorcycles road that I have seen.

Bonus: Laguna Seca raceway is up there. So we could check out the track from afar (or maybe, if we're lucky, up close)!

I'll definitely go back up a few times this summer. Unfortunately for me my rear tire is showing some of the cord after a skid or rip (only after 2400 miles as well!). Gotta get money to get BT 003's...

Does this have to do with riding? No... no probably not. Is it really awesome and do I wanna ride up there on my ceebee? Yes! Yes I do!

Just got back from a half-day from San Luis Obispo to big sur and back. between the beautiful views and the twisties it was a blast. Only trouble was that I got stuck behind many cars going 20 the whole way, probably since its a saturday and an amazing day to be out there. Definitely looking to do it again if anyone is interested

Some other good roads in the area are Highway 25 south out of Hollister and Carmel Valley Rd. Avoid 1 on weekends unless you like looking at the back side of a Winnebago for 200 miles!

I live in SLO and we have weekend rides, so if you guys want, shout out when you're coming up and what time you plan on being in and I can post it on our local forums and try to get a ride together that takes you through some fun back roads while still making headway toward your destination

It's sloriders.com it's an open group that invites all bikes and skills in for group rides. There are a couple 250s, with the acceptation of late I seem to be the most frequent 250 rider though haha. What color scheme CBR do you have?

Cool, Ill be sure to sign up. I have a 2012 red/silver with leo vince full exhaust system. I've seen 3 other CBR's at Cal Poly and just got in touch with one yesterday (same color), so we'll see if he joins the site
