It's come to the point where mines sounding more like a knocking noise then a rattle and I'm scared to even ride the thing. I have an appointment for the 25th, lets hope it's covered under my extended warranty.

I've put 3700 miles on mine, so about double that.

Also I have had them ride it like 3 times in the past but they always said they would have to identify the concern to know if it is covered under warranty. At this point it's getting so obnoxious that I feel like it needs to be taken care of before they have to put a new engine in it.

Yep im to that point to at the end of my twelve months on provisional liscence i will be selling bike to upgrade and if i was test riding it and could hear the noise it makes i would be put off. I have a yoshi with silencer out and airbox lid off and i can still hear it plain as day,if they say there is nothing wrong i am going to get them to put it in writing and make note of it incase something does happen and the next owner can still claim warranty

Sorry guys forgot to get back to ya. Mechanic took bike for ride and come back with a pearler story that it is the exhaust sound he told me if I rode along and put my boot behind the yoshi it go's away?. I was that amused I just agreed it is slowly getting louder I have done a few more big rides and it's sounds bloody terrible anyway just wanted them to make note of it. Will be putting it on market soon to upgrade so not to worried.

I have to say the bike has been good and a very fun start. But regardless of wether they r a single or cheap or any reason the rattle that comes out of the motor seriously makes it sounds like it has done 100000kms. I think the thing that annoys everyone is that the mechanics or Honda give nearly everyone a different answer surely for a mechanic or Honda it can't be that hard to fix :)

its not the motor.i have posted it already. Its a bloody component from gearbox, whose play is making the sound.it is located in frontmost
part of opened gearbox.

The spare with sealing gasket goo costs only 10usd-450inr
india.
Mechanic told, that components large play creates even tractor like rattle,he sorted it out, when he found
that sound after fixing my valve clearances

Cool I'll have to ask mechanic thanks champ. All I know is it's not the exhaust note that's for sure :). How many km's had u done before valves done I think I need to check mine at least I'm up to 4500 km's I've been riding it pretty hard on rides with a mate on a Mille good fun and quick through the corners but just need that bit more legs on the straight a 400 would be awesome :)
