Black CBR250R ABS - Hello from Columbus, OH...

Beginner rider here...wifey and I passed our MSF course back in June. Finally found the bike we have been looking for in the CBR250R. Purchased it last night and can't wait for it to be delivered! :D

Thanks for the warm welcome. Called the dealer today and he said the bike may possibly be at his dealership by Monday! *fingers crossed*

Congratulations on the new bike. I too just got mine last Tuesday, rode it twice since and have 120miles on it now.

I also got the black but no ABS.

I love it. Not my first bike. Used to ride dirt bikes when I was much younger. Had one of the oldest Ninjas during the late 80's and had a cruiser before deciding to go smaller and nimbler as I don't go on long rides anymore.

This is mainly for the fun of riding two wheels whenever I have the chance.

I'm really happy with it so far.:D

Waiting for phone to ring with update from dealer...

Update: Dealer called and said the bike won't get to the dealership until Wednesday. Needs to be prepped after it arrives, so it may not get delivered to me until Thursday...what a bummer! :(

Hey Weasle..hope your dealer comes through soon!! what dealer are you buying from? i got mine from John Hinderer honda powerstore in Hebron Ohio back in may. keep us posted!! when your ride arrives lets get out and take a spin on our cee bees.. ive seen one other guy buzzin around town on his black cee bee north of osu campus area twice..stay in touch!!:D

I got mine through Honda Marysville Powersports. They had 4 of them in stock, two on the showroom floor and I think two in the warehouse. Mine happens to be one of the two still sitting in the crate at the warehouse. :( I haven't seen any cbr250's around here yet.

How was your experience at John Hinderer? What color did you get?

They were great. i was looking for a month or so and had a deposit dropped on one at ASK powersports in grovecity and they took too long so i got my money back and the same day called John Hinderer and they said there were two on the floor, so i imediatley drove out and bought a black non abs floor model. They were very nice, professional, delivered the bike right after i bought it. no charge. they buckled the bike down in a covered trailer and followed me home from the dealership 50 minutes from my house! they were awesome to deal with. I love the bike.. it is the first street bike ive done alot of riding on. its lots of fun to ride and pretty much being a beginner, it was the perfect bike for me. I know youve gotta be chomping at the bit to get out and ride..

Did you work with Sandra down at ASK? I checked them out as well and they actually had a black ABS model, which surprised me so late in the season. She never gives you a direct answer when you ask her a question...it's almost like you're invisible and she's talking to herself. When I first called, I asked her how much they were asking for the ABS model they had in stock - she pauses then says, "yeah these bikes are great, with the fuel injection...blah blah blah". Even though they are closer to me, I decided to go back to Honda Marysville Motorsports...the guys there were straight up honest with no BS.

I want my bike!!

Funny you mention Saundra or sandy as they called her there, but yes i did and had no joy a their dealership as mentioned..they kept saying yea thats a great bike! are you sure you dont wanna try out a ninja or this or that? even after i had a 300$ deposit down on a cbr250 for a month! they gave me the same line of crap until i just had enough and pulled my deposit.Good desicion going else where with your buisness. The Ask powersports was closer to me as well but the distance i traveled to Hebron ohio was well worth it. i feel your pain as far as wanting your ride!! Hope you get that call tonight!!Vrrooom Vrroom!!

Woohoo!! Bike was delivered to my house today!:D Sadly, it started to rain today after 7 days of gorgeous weather :mad:, so no riding today. Came out of the covered trailer and right into the carport. Doesn't look like I'll be doing any riding until maybe Saturday when it clears up.
