I'll introduce myself in the other section in a little while.
I had a 2012 Ninja 250 lasy year but I sold it. In November, we bought a new 2012 Suzuki Burgman 400 scooter. If you've never ridden a Burgman, don't judge. My wife and I are super comfortable at highway speeds and it's a blast to ride and you can put a lot of gear under the seat. Hell, I go grocery shopping on it!
I've got the small bike fever again. I loved the way my 2012 Ninja 250 looked, but the 2013 Ninja 300, well, I'm not a fan. If I wanted something as "bulky" as the bodywork on the 300 is, I'd just buy a 600 super sport and be done with it. Also, I like the way the CBR250R is not "ashamed" to be a 250. It says "CBR250R" on the side, It does not try to hide that fact. It is what it is!
I love the way the CBR250R looks. I know that it's not as fast or quick as the Ninja 300, but It has enough juice for my intended back road purposes. The only thin I don't like about the CBR is the exhaust. Could it be ANY bigger or uglier?! It's an easy fix, but it still bugs me.
I've found some great deals in my area on new 2012 CBR 250s. Please help me decide on what to do.
1. Repsol CBR205R. Love the orange wheels and silver frame, but HATE the stickers. It would look awesome without them, but I'nm not paying for them and then taking them off with a heat gun. I could replace a few body panels with black ones for not much $$$ and than store the Repsol ones in case I ever want to sell it. Then again, I'm to lazy to do that.
2. Ruby red CBR250 ABS. Are these kinda rare? The dealers that I've talked to are really dealing on the non ABS CBRs, but on the ABS ones they don't want to come off the price very much. My 2012 Burgman 400 has ABS, but I don't really want to pay for it on the 250.
3. Black CBR250R. I have a great offer on one of those and I love the way it looks with those silver wheels. Black is the one color for 2013 that I think the 2012 looks better in because of the wheels. The red and white 2013's look awesome! I love that white paint for 2013.
I have a 2011 Yamaha V Star 650 Custom that I'm selling. I CAN'T understand why cruisers are so popular. The V Star 650 is a pig and it handles like crap. If I would have test ridden one before I signed on the dotted line I never would have bought it in the first place. It only has 1400 miles on it.
