Is it? This is news to me :)

That is because I haven't told what the issue is all about. I'm waiting to hear from Honda India to move into next stage. Once they move about I can detail out as what is going on. At this stage, things are half baked & saying something will certainly raise many brows & lots of confusion. Hope this is clear

As clear as mud

Is it? Again news to me. Appreciate if you can help us understand.

All the Hero Honda and Honda business, it all sounds a bit messy, but maybe it's nothing

All other points, yes, I too am aware of them :)
Ah...... Forget it. I'm sorry I put my spoke in. Deleted my previous posts and I'm outta here.

The piston skirt is not feed by the oil pump so I wouldn't think the oil filter would effect this. If the oil filter was installed incorrectly you would more likely see a big end failure.
The piston is lubricated by good old splash feed, so If it has seized (As the photo shows), I'd say someone forgot to fill it with oil. (Like Rossman suggests) No oil, no splash :( It wouldn't be the first time, and I bet it won't be the last time.
I have seen it happen in our shop (no names :)) when guys don't concentrate on the job they are doing.
Yup, a more likely explanation.

That sort of thing happens alright. The boss, on a farm I worked on in Canterbury years ago, was not too impressed when his near new Jaguar conked out on the way home from being serviced. The grease monkey had not tightened the drain plug......

As you say, would not be the first time, and sure won't be the last for a similar story.

Aagree is back on the road, but has not said what the cause of the engine failure was yet. He does seem to be having more than his share of problems.
