Anyone else having this problem on their cbr since they like it so much? I've found that if I go faster it helps recirculate the blood away from my unit back into my body.

This way, I can refocus back on the road. I'm concerned if I get a cbr 500 or 600 the problem could get worse...

Excellent post. I tend to catch wood while flipping my CBR250R around the twisties on New Mexico's amazing low-traffic mountain & canyon roads.
As for the long desert straight-aways, I tend to go a little "numb". The little CBR tends to give me wood when it's pushed to work, rather than simply ridden, yet I love it just the same.
I've definitely noticed that running Shell or Chevron gas (the lowest octane, which I always run) over other cheaper gas makes the bike come alive so much more.
