I see a lot of questions about the CBR250's highway performance wondering if 22hp is powerful enough. Here is an endurance rider and hypermiler who road his 13hp CBR125 coast to coast from San Diego, CA to Jacksonville, FL in 43 hours. He is now on his way from Key West, FL to Dead Horse, AK. That's right. Alaska! On a CBR125.

That rider is a real trooper. All that way on a CBR125! I honest give people credit who do things like that. It also shows you how good these bikes are when someone goes on a trip like that and the bike rides flawlessly. Doing long distance trips like that in a car just isnt the same as doing it on a bike

He is 1/2 way on his current trip from Key West, FL to Deadhorse, AK. AND BACK! Iron Butt's "Ultimate Coast to Coast to Coast. On his CBR125. He's an inspiration to hypermilers everywhere to do all of that on a 125. Honda should be paying him. Or at least give hime a new bike.

91mpg

wow guy is really riding all over the place guy is nuts! but i'd rather keep a the 250 over the 125 anyday
It depends. The CBR125 gets 91 mpg vs 71 for the 250. Those on the CBR125 forum that have ridden both say there is not as much difference in 0-60 mph as you might think.
