Despite what people think about Audio on a motorcycle.and the flame ill be getting online,im going to be putting one on my cbr250 anyways.go tell the harley guys how you really feel about their audio systems.

the Amp i will be using is a Rockford Fosgate PBR300x4
picking the amp up today, was too busy yesterday.

-fits in the passenger seat compartment
=puts out more then rated power, will prolly put out 330-350 RMS.
-getting the amp new for 189$ instead of 269.99$

Rockford Fosgate® - PBR300X4

i will be using 8ga wire with 2 fuses(just because i have 2 fuse holders laying around) with 30amp fuses. one before the battery and one before the amp.

not too sure on what speakers i will be getting as of now because i dont want to get some expensive car audio speakers that have a chance to get messed up with water from washing the bike or rain in the future.

i plan on speakers in the fairings and possibly super tweeters near the gauges.

all wires will be hidden, will take pics of the installation, also under the main seat where the battery lays has room for wiring/fuse holders etc. but not enough room for this amp.will have room for the smaller motorcycle amps that ive seen on uniqcycles but those amps are small and dont do rated power.

PS:the L-Wrench that came with the bike doesnt fit to take off the seat.so id suggest adding one to your toolkit incase your batt dies one day.

no room for an ashtray with my LCD monitor and PS3 Slim.

somebody:i have been reccomended the bluetooth kit or justsoem simple ear phones..its a nice and cheaper route,i drive around my city n make smaller stops, the earphones would get annoying to place in my ear,put helmet on/refit the ear pieces etc.

and btw,i enjoyed the comments, were funny.

im familiar with hall and oats, though i dont listen to them, most harleys around here playing music listen to classical, jazz, romantic oldie type songs and i say they sound pretty good,i dont turn it on during highway riding though i would be able to hear it,when i take backroads to other cities ill play it,but mostly in the city..and people dont seem to get annoyed...

everytime i pass by kids they start dancing,a girl has blown me a kiss, every one looks..people LOVE music...not that im playing it for them..i tried headphones i hate putting on all kinds of gear+headphones and shades if its sunny.and i dont want the music right in my ear..and its even worse on quickstops here n there..you gotta ungear,re-gear. etc

i have seen many sportbikes since i started riding, that have some type of audio system.im not going to buy a harley or goldwing to be accepted in the bike audio category.

i never trolled in your thread Aufit, but i see you trolling a lot.where i live,it is you that would get the beat down, just saying.

there is some drama around here about riding 250s,but mostly with poser squids and people who dont even ride.

the only immature thing about this thread,is the posters who have nothing better to do but try and be clever with their unhelpful negative comments.ive let this thread die everyone keeps reviving it

still a good laugh though lmao.this is the best thread so far,dumbest...no

hahahahahahha fucking classic Top,i like it hahaha.

and yeah he said joking but hes the first one to troll the thread in the first place lol..

its not like id play the song u quoted either way, some girl asked me if i was down to put her on the back and bump barbie girl o_O

most people ask me if the bike is a 600 for some reason, even before i got a full exhaust system put on.

Its not like you are invading peoples space with bone crushing sub woofers or anything.
i used to,had 2 18inch competition subs in a ported boxed tuned to 34hz that i built.

only had 3000rms going to each but i sold the subs and one amp, subs were only made for 1500rms each though. the right box allows you to throw more power to them.

34hz is getting down to the edge of audible range. (20hz is the lowest that can be heard) I bet people could feel you coming before they heard you.

I used to install systems back in the day. Amazing what can be accomplished with even just 1 10" sub and a mono channel.
im still jamming to top's link lmfao...

yeah,of all the years i had audio systems in my car i always shut it off at the right time, but with this setup the cop came out of a neighborhood onto the mainstreet,i saw him right when he was in line of sight and hit pause,he still pulled me over and said

"i dont usually give citations but that was over the top loud, what are you doing with all this stuff in here man"

i remember bumping on the mainstreen, cutting it off, then going into a neighborhood and can hear alarms going off in the neighborhood,i miss the bass..

1st ticket for noise 250$ fine.told him it was my hobby, and atleast im not out here selling and smoking meth...still got a ticket.

one guy wanted to buy my subs saying it gave him chills from shaking his condo, but never came through with money.

everyone around here seems to enjoy the extreme systems i turn it down when i get close to cars,i dont like to bump near old people, babies n such but they roll their windows down and ask me to turn it up..one asshole cut me off so i followed him at full tilt.

i dont bump at stop lights, signs,or in neighborhoods either.

ya my 10's are rated to 750 watt RMS, but im pretty happy with how they sound right now. every once in a while though i wish i could turn them up louder than they are. definitly have reached the limits of my 300 watt amp a few times.

to bring the topic back to the OP a little,
we've been talking about speakers in the bike itself, how well have those worked for you at highway speeds?
i would imagine that having a bluetooth setup in your helmet would work alot better over wind noise and such.
im looking at getting small bluetooth speakers just for music while riding, i dont plan on using it for phone calls (i use less than 200 minutes a month), but having the option isnt a bad idea.

i dont mind anyone sharing their audio, when i get a 2nd bike i will prolly get a chatterbox, the new slim ones.

with the kind of speakers i have the freeway isnt a problem.

if anyone is having any alt problems in their cars due to their system or w.e they got going on these guys are local to me and make highoutput alts

owner is Rob

if you need to replace your batts, get a kinetik,or XS Power..better then adding a cap.
