I ride home at midnight daily and the lighting is more than adequate. It was pouring last night and that didn't hinder it at all. I will swap bulbs with a more white light but that's just my own personal preference.
just took a ride tonight and i love the lighting..ive ridden in some pretty thick fog last fall and i admit i was puckering abit but the lighting was doing its job and some..
In my pre-buy research I came across some complaints about the light, but I like the light. I keep it on high 99 percent of the time. Almost 150 miles on the bike so far, with half of that at night. (city drivin')
bear in mind that in India and Thailand. The Cbr only comes with a 35/35 bulb as standard. the rest of the world get H4 55/60.
but it is easy to just replace the bulb for a H4.
