CBR250R Exhausts

The bike isn't even out yet, but it appears like a few European exhaust companies have gotten their hands on the CBR250R to develop some systems for them. Check it out, they all make the CBR sound like a dirtbike because of the single cylinder:

Termignoni:

Remus (this one really makes it sound like a thumper!):

Bizumo (not sure if we get this brand in the US):

This sounds like a Chinese exhaust company. Not sure:

Which do you guys like?

Any video/sound sample for Yoshimura & 2 Brothers Racing? Does Remus sound better?

I have just been looking - there are loads of recent samples on Youtube of all 3
i think that the Yoshi sounds and looks best. Honda tech guy said it will add between 2 and 3 HP also.
Cheers

All of the dyno print outs I have seen posted show all of the slip ons are about the same in adding just under 2hp. The Yoshi and the Twobros are very, very loud on this bike as it seems to have much more of a loud, penetrating bass note than other multi cylinder bikes. Some people have reinstalled the stock muffler. because of it. I am going to stick with stock muffler as it has a nice catalyst and I ride a lot of miles. I might drill some holes in it though to reduce the back pressure.
No exhaust will add 2hp to the peak power without other mods (many actually lose top end) but the best ones add power and torque at certain rpm. choose one that has no dips.

But you'll get more benefits from the weight loss and more response.
Get one with a quiet insert or you'll be sick of it in a day and so will the rest of the neighbourhood.
I love my Arrow. Got the full system with the black can. Looks nice and sounds great, not loud at all with the insert in.
Yes, Arrow, Akra, Vince, Hindle.. all top quality from companies that specialise in Exhausts and build a good product.
I know someone already asked back in february, but does anyone have the hotbodies mgp slip-on on their cbr250r yet? How does it sound with just one cylinder?
I noticed someone is keeping the stock exhaust for the catalytic converter. One of the reasons I purchased the Arrow is that a cat insert is available for purchase if I need it or want it.
I don't mind the sound at all out of the stock muffler, but I think it looks so dumb. Reminds me of a scooter...
I was at Honda today as i'm looking at buying a new CBR250, they had one there that has the full hoshi system on it, started it up in the showroom and i got wood, for a 250 single cylinder it sounds great, i will be getting it on mine
Ok, maybe too many specifics here but I'll try.
Anyone know of somewhere in pattaya thailand that i could get a non stock exhaust supplied and fitted. not looking for anything too loud, to be honest it is more because I hate the look of the stock exhaust rather than sound or performance gains.
Nope. Drill some holes:cool:
Ok, so after much deliberation, I ordered the GP Extreme and baffle from Danmoto last night...I can't wait. I've only heard it on the ninja 250r, but that was enough for me. It should be here in 6-15 days, so I'll post a clip as soon as it's on!
Sorry to bring up an old thread but I didn't wanna start another thread about exhausts, For me the only legal exhausts in my price range (I don't want any trouble from the police) are scorpion or remus, I can't find any sound clips of the scorpion or anyone talking about it. Anybody got 1 or have any experience of it?
Its also a case of passing emissions tests when it eventually needs an MOT and the leo vince i was looking at said and i quote "eliminates the Cat and therefore willfail an emissions test"

Every muffler for the CBR250R will obviously eliminate the catalyst which is inside the stock muffler.

Emissions are not checked on a UK bike MOT.
The only things an exhaust will fail on are - not marked road legal in some way and the noise that it makes, even then these are down to the discretion of the mot'er and not set in stone.
If you are worried about passing an inspection then keep the stock exhaust and put it back on for the inspection. After you have passed then take it off again.
