Wish the US would get that. Might take away from 250r sales though. 600 is nice, but just not needed for commuter status and the MPG is terrible compared to the 250

New here and not familiar with the CBR400 concept so I have to ask, would a 400 simply be a 250 with a bigger engine or would it be a redesigned, larger bike?

I ask because the Ninja 400 is pretty much a Ninja 650 with a less powerful engine and i believe it's performance is mostly on par with the 250 because any improvements realized by moving from 250cc to 400cc are for the most part negated by by the extra weight of the larger bike.

^ nice bike the cb400 almost bought one instead of the cbr, but $6K for the cbr and $10.5K for the 400, sealed the deal for the 250

Same here. Bang for buck gets you with this bike.
I was actually in the process of test riding cb400's as I'd pretty much decided on one. But then halfway through a test ride the dealer asked me if I wanted to ride the 250 back to the shop. Even though I hit the rev limiter nearly every gear that bang for buck is why I'm still riding that exact same 250 I test rode about a year ago.
