Last week I attended the annual IBA meet in Jacksonville, FL. As part of the meet there was a 1,000+ mile ride around Florida and Georgia called the Battlefield 1000. The route consisted of visiting various battlefields, and the stops were documented with a rally flag that we were given the morning of the ride. The only receipt I needed to keep was my final gas receipt to document that I finished the ride within 24 hours.

The ride went well and the little CBR handled it just fine. Extra fuel would have been nice, but no aux tank just means a few extra gas stops. I definitely needed my heated gear as the last couple hundred miles as the temperature ranged from the mid 30s to the low 40s.

Actual Miles Ridden (GPS odo): 1,107
Total Time: 21.5 hours
Total Stops: 19 - 11 bonus locations (photos), 8 gas stops
