Following the service manual procedure, I removed the middle and lower cowls to change the oil filter. I think I must have yanked too hard on the middle cowl(s) when I removed them before undoing the turn signal wiring, because now I've put everything back together and the headlight, both high and low beam, and the high beam indicator are the only accessory electronics that work. On startup, the tachometer doesn't flick up and the display remains empty.

I'll take a look at the wiring diagram tomorrow to see what might have gone awry, but I wanted to put this to the forum to brainstorm.

Thanks for your help in advance.

So I gave that a try. Removed the front cowl and checked the 20P connector of the panel, and it was still intact. The manual says not to unplug it, but I'm tempted to anyways just to see if anything happens. Either way, the high beam indicator light still works so I'm stumped how everything else is out.

It was a blown fuse. Thanks for the suggestion Natrix. A few points:

- The fuse box is under the rider seat.
- The manual lists the fuses incorrectly, at least for the ABS model. The fuse box cover, however, lists them correctly.
- Nothing bad happens if you unplug the 20-pin harness from the back of the combination meter.
