Hey guys, I was in the process of replacing the headlight unit. While waiting for the parts to deliver, I went out for a short ride with a headlight unit removed (just around the block) and I notice when I start the bike, the PGM-FI or check engine light comes on and stays on.

Does anyone know if that's a problem with the engine or because it sense that there is not headlight unit connection?

Hopefully, when the unit comes the engine light indicator will go away when plug back in.

It's because of the light. It does the same for the turn signals and probably any other major electronics.

Confirmed it when I put the new headlight unit in.
