Hello, new to the community and world of motorcycles.

According to registration papers I have a bought a 2011 Honda CBR250. So I am looking for the oil filter and gasket, but when I do a google search for 2011 Honda CBR250 it recommends me to search for 2011 Honda CBR250R. It seems the world wide web does little to acknowledge the existence of a CBR250.

So my question is, is there a difference between a 2011 Honda CBR250 and CBR250R? What are they?
Where is the compliance plate on my bike so I can check what I have?

Somebody please educate me.

Sounds like someone just forgot to add the last "R" to the registration form. Pretty sure if you looked up the VIN number for your bike you would discover that it is indeed a CBR250R.

Remove seat and look at top of fender. There should be some decals with emissions info that tells you model name.

Also near tail on frame should be decal with colour codes and model as well.

Thanks for all the support guys!

So there was a sticker on the frame under the pillion passenger seat that said CBR250RB.

What does the B mean? Do I still have ABS @Schroeder?

Not aware of any model with a "B" designation. Maybe this will help.

ABS models have a sensor ring near the hub of each wheel.

44515

Furthermore there are three lines going to the front brake.
1 Brake line from the front brake lever
2 Another brake line from the rear brake (ABS models have combined braking. When the rear brake is used one of the front brake pistons is also activated)
3 ABS sensor line.

On startup there will also be a ABS warning light in the instrument cluster which should turn off once the bike hits 6mph / 10km/h.

NADA has pricing guide for CBR250RB

According to BikeWiki, there's a model "name" as well as model "code".

Looks like the letter suffices in model "code" signifies model-year:
2011 = CBR250RB
2012 = CBR250RC
2013 = CBR250RD
2014 = CBR250RE
2015 = CBR250RF
etc.
